The Des Moines Scottish Rite hosted the annual Blue Lodge
Breakfast on Saturday, January 17 with a full house of Masons in attendance. The
Honorable Senator Charles Grassley was in attendance and spoke of his love for
Masonry and how the fraternity has influenced his life.
Personal Representative Bryce Hildreth, PGM, introduced
visitors and guests and told a fascinating story about President Harry Truman
and the values of Freemasonry. Ron Lindhart presented an educational program on the Charles Morgan Affair and reminded those present of the resources available for education in the Blue Lodges.
After the breakfast, brothers from several lodges competed in the cribbage tournament held in the Tapestry room. (MM)
