Fall Reunion Kick-off
The Fall Reunion Kick-off is this Wednesday, September 30th. Today, is the last call for reservations so we can have enough steaks for everyone. Please contact the SR office by calling 515-288-8927 or via emailrsvp@dmscottishrite.org. Cost is $10 for Scottish Rite Masons, prospective members are free with a reservation.
This event is open to potential members for Scottish Rite and the Symbolic Lodge. It will feature our famous grilled top sirloin steaks, baked potato, salad, and dessert prepared by our extraordinary chefs on the Scottish Rite "Kitchen Krew", libations served with a smile by the Knights of St. Andrew, and a great program on being a Mason for all to enjoy.
Bring a buddy and join us for a great night on Wednesday, September 30th!

The Sovereign Grand Commander is the top officer of the Scottish Rite in the Southern Jurisdiction. A post currently held by Ronald Seale of Louisiana. While no Iowan has ever served as Grand Commander, several Iowans have held prominent elected positions in the Supreme Council, in fact, our current SGIG, Gary L. Sissel, serves as the Grand Secretary General. For a free steak dinner on Wednesday, September 30th, be the first to answer this trivia question. Building Renovation Update
Wait until you see our banquet level hallway renovations, they are awesome! After a busy summer of dust, paint, plaster, terrazzo, marble, crystal, carpet, and wallpaper, we have a completely renovated and updated the hallway area outside of the Dahl Grand Banquet room with new carpet and crystal chandeliers. The ladies lounge has dressing rooms and make up stations as well as an updated and expanded restroom area. Thanks to generous donations from Russ Johnson Jr., the WT & Edna Dahl Trust, and the Friends of the Des Moines Consistory, we were able to make major improvements in one of our most public areas. Come check it out!
