Parking Update:
There have been a number of questions and concerns expressed regarding parking for the reunion this weekend. Please let me provide you with some updates but I need something from you as well. I need you to read this carefully to eliminate confusion as this email applies to this weekend only.
The downtown parking meters are regulated until 9:00 pm Monday thru Saturday. You can "feed
 " them for up to 12 hours at a time. The pricing is 75¢ per hour. We will have quarters available in the office for you to buy should you need some. They also take the city of Des Moines "Smart" cards. They do not take credit or debit cards.
The north parking lot directly behind the Consistory building will be open beginning at 4:00 pm on Friday evening, November 2 and 8:00 am on Saturday, November 3. It is free to park here, first come first serve. Please do not block anyone in. One item to note, this lot is not owned by Des Moines Scottish Rite. Thankfully, we have access to it because of a long term relationship with American Enterprise Insurance.
The parking lot directly west of the Consistory building will also be available to Scottish Rite members this weekend as we have rented it for this reunion. It will be open beginning at 4:00 pm on Friday evening, November 2 and 8:00 am on Saturday, November 3. Please enter through the north gate on Center street. We do not have exclusivity to it but there are well over 100 spaces in this lot. Scottish Rite will be renting this lot for some of our larger events but not all of them.
