292nd Anniversary of Founding of the Grand Lodge of EnglandOur annual trip to the Royal Mile pub is coming up next week. However, Wednesday, June 24, is now sold out. Thursday night, June 25th has some slots left but is filling quickly. If you plan to attend, please make your reservation this week. The evening will feature a traditional English pub dinner, program, and toasts. Brother Ron Lindhart and Bob Speed will lead the celebration as we toast those Brothers who came before us. This event is open only to Master Masons and the cost is $20 per person. We will need your payment and meal selection in advance. Choices are Fish & Chips, Bangers and Mash, Shepherds Pie, and Guiness Pie.

University of Free MasonryJoin us on July 22nd as we read and study the 20th degree. This degree titled the Master of the Symbolic Lodge shows us the lessons of Liberty, Fraternity and Equality. These teach moral, religious and philosophical understanding. This degree helps one to comprehend Deity, forces of nature, good and evil. The degree reading will begin at 7:00 pm and will take place in the library. All Scottish Rite Masons are invited.
Membership Appreciation DinnerThe annual Membership Appreciation dinner will be held on July 29th. At this dinner we will recognize those SR Masons who have served on committees, preformed ritual, and worked to make our past year successful. The Blosser Award (most candidates), the Loring Parker Award (outstanding Ritualist), the “PIP” Award (outstanding committee work), and the outstanding new member awards will be presented.

Iowa Scottish Rite Masonic FoundationThe Iowa Scottish Rite Masonic Foundation manages the charitable donations of Scottish Rite for the five Iowa Valleys. Annually, our foundation meets to evaulate the various charitable requests we receive throughout the year. The two principal charities for Scottish Rite in Iowa Rite Care and Alzheimers research and treatment. The foundation supports our Rite Care clinics in Iowa City, Cedar Falls, and Davenport as well as a special summer program.
