Scottish Rite Express ~ Valley of Des Moines ---------------------------------- Orient of Iowa Valley of Des Moines ---------------------------------- Orient of Iowa

May 31, 2017
300th Anniversary of Grand Lodge of England
June 24, 2017

The 300th Anniversary celebration is 25 days away and the response has been excellent.  We have 375 reservations for the event, which is spectacular.  This will be one of the biggest events in the Des Moines Valley in several years.  We are looking forward to a great day to celebrate Freemasonry in Iowa.
Please note, registration closes on June 10th and we will be unable to take any reservations beyond this date.  Please share this email with anyone that you know that may not have registered but you think might be wanting to attend.  We want them on the list but will be unable to accommodate late reservations.

Secondly, we have a large number of guests that are not going to be familiar with our building.  Please help to direct them to restrooms, coat rooms, etc. and to make them feel welcome at the Des Moines Scottish Rite.

Ben Mayer sent me the attached picture of the top of the time capsule.  Amazing work by him!  I can't wait to see it finished.

Lastly, we are opening the Grand Lodge of Iowa as part of the festivities, so an apron is required in the lodge room.  We encourage you to bring or wear your own apron if you have one.  It should make for a much simpler process when we are opening the Grand Lodge.  There will be a quantity available for those who need an apron.  Past Master aprons are welcome as well.
