Important Dates in Shepheard's Tavern History

1720-The tavern is built by Charles Shepheard.  It was not only a place to eat and drink but a place to do business, hold meetings, receive mail, and see theatrical performances.

1736-The honorable society of Free and Accepted Masons held a lodge meeting here for the first time.

 1801-Colonel John Mitchell and
Rev. Frederick Dalcho opened
by the ancient constitutions, The Supreme Council of the 33rd Degree for the United States of America.

The Shepheard's Tavern society is a chance for Scottish Rite Masons and their friends to enjoy the company and fellowship of Masonry.

The meetings are held throughout the Scottish Rite year but most often just prior to a Scottish Rite Reunion.  The purpose is two-fold to  socialize and introduce prospective members to FreeMasonry.

We are pleased to invite you to enjoy a libation with us as your schedule allows.  No dues, no certificates, just a chance to meet and socialize.

Please join us from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the
Tapestry Lounge on March 29th.
There will be hors de ouevres, libations, building tours, and an opportunity to share the fellowship of Scottish Rite with
