Scottish Rite Express Valley of Des Moines --- Orient of Iowa

- Feast of Kadosh/Blue Lodge Breakfast

Eagleof Freemasonry &; Feast of Kadosh
Our Scottish Rite degrees have many ties to Scotland and England prior to the union of the two countries in 1707.   There are references and remnants in the 28th, Knight 
Commander of the Temple and the 29th degree, Knight of St. Andrew to the Stuart dynasty, King James and Union of the Crowns of England and Scotland. 


Dr. Jeffrey Cox of the University of Iowa will share with us a program on this important period of history that helped to create some of the degrees of the Council of Kadosh.


Our feast will be period style and feature items from peasant fare (cheese, bread, & vegetables) as well as that of a noble feast (whole roasted chicken).
