MEMBERSHIP APPRECIATION
DINNER & AWARDS NIGHT
On behalf of the Officers of the Scottish Rite, I would like to invite you to a special night to recognize those members who have contributed their time and talents to the Des Moines Valley in the past year.
You may feel your contributions were small or just part of being a Scottish Rite Mason but to us, the officers of the Des Moines Scottish Rite, they deserve recognition. Therefore, we would like you to be our guest at the 2018 Membership Awards Dinner to be held on July 31, 2018.
At the dinner, we will be recognizing those who have contributed in a special way. We will be awarding the Primus Inter Pares "PIP" Award. PIP is short for "PRIMUS INTER PARES", a Latin phrase meaning "first among equals". It is given to someone who works behind the scenes to help make our reunions a success. We will also present the Loring Parker Award. It is given for outstanding degree performance or ritual work. Another award that will be presented is the Blosser award. This award goes to the person who first line signed the most petitions in the previous year. The last award to be presented will be the Outstanding New Member Award. It will be given to a Scottish Rite Mason who has been a member less than 18 months and has contributed in an outstanding manner.
This event is open only to members of the Des Moines Scottish Rite. We will begin with social hour at 5:45 pm, dinner at 6:30 pm, followed by the awards presentations. The parking lot north of the building will be open at 5:30 pm.
