October 25, 2016 Special One-Day Reunion Class The Donald A. Driscoll, 33 and  Dale L. Klauss, 33° Memorial Reunion has been expanded to include a special one-day reunion on November 12th.  It will begin at  8:00 am in the Symbolic Lodge room with the reception of candidates and the 4th degree will begin at 8:20 am.  We will confer the three mandatory degrees (4°, 14°, 18°) that morning.  These new candidates will then join the existing class beginning with lunch at 12:00 pm.  That afternoon they will receive the 29th, 30th, 31st, and 32nd degrees.  Following the degree work will be the 2016 Double Eagle Gala. Scottish Rite Day, November 12, 2016

On November 12, 2016, Valleys, Orients and Councils of Deliberations from both the Northern Masonic and Southern Jurisdictions will come together to celebrate the Scottish Rite. It is the first time the fraternity has held such a nationwide day of honor.

We are asking that everyone in both jurisdictions commemorate Scottish Rite Day. Our hope is that you see it as a chance to enjoy a fun, memorable occasion where you can reach out to and connect with your Brothers.

Some states in the NMJ are planning a statewide 32° conferral. Others are planning a banquet with their ladies, where a jewel or medallion presentation will be made to all candidates who received the 32° during 2016. 

Scottish Rite Day is meant to be an enjoyable, inspirational, and meaningful experience for our members. The event will also accord the 32° the recognition and prestige it deserves.

A handsome, new jewel or medallion commissioned. They will be available in November 2016, to all who have been made a Scottish Rite Mason. In the NMJ, each candidate receiving his 32° during 2016, will be presented this one-of-a-kind, commemorative jewel. It will also be available for purchase.

Fall Reunion begins Saturday Morning! It will be held over three Saturdays and we will confer all 29 Scottish Rite Degrees.  The reunion dates are October 15th, October 29th,  and November 12th.  Following the 32nd degree on November 12th will be the Double Eagle Gala. We call our degree conferrals "Reunions" because the brethren come together to share the special lessons of the Scottish Rite degrees with a new class of candidates.  As we meet to witness and perform these degrees, the teachings of the Scottish Rite are exemplified to our new brothers and reinforced in us anew.   Our first weekend will begin on Saturday, October 15th.  We will confer the 4th to 14th degrees.  If you haven't been to a reunion in the past few years, please consider making a special trip to attend.  It is also important that our new Scottish Rite Masons see familiar faces when they are joining the Scottish Rite.  October 15th will begin promptly at 8:00 am with the reception of the class followed by the 4th Degree.  As you might recall our old friends from the 3rd degree reappear in the 9th and 10th degrees.  This is a great example of how the Scottish Rite expands on the drama of the Symbolic Lodge.  We will portray all of the Lodge of Perfection degrees on this first Saturday.  Following the work, we will have a social hour for all in attendance. The 2nd Saturday of the reunion will take place October 29th beginning with Knight of the East (15th degree) from the Chapter Rose Croix.  The 15th and 16th degrees are some of the oldest "high degrees" in existence.  The theme of the 15th/16th degrees are prevelant in several degree systems in addition to the AASR.  After lunch we will transition the Council of Kadosh and end with the 22nd degree.  This degree is always well performed and a great deal of fun to watch.   November 12th will be the culmination of our Fall Reunion.  We will begin with the 23rd degree, Chief of the Tabernacle, at 7:30 am.  The 23rd to 26th degrees are recent additions to our reunion schedule, each having been portrayed only a few times.  They are the "religious" degrees of the Council of Kadosh and give insight into the early years of Islam, Christianity, and Judaism.  If you haven't seen them yet, you are always welcome to be a sideliner during a degree. The end of the day will bring the 32nd degree, Master of the Royal Secret.  This degree shares with our new brothers the Holy Doctrine and the Royal Secret.  It also gives a brief synopsis of all 32 Scottish Rite degrees. Following the 32nd degree, it will be time to celebrate.  All Scottish Rite Masons, their ladies, and friends are invited to celebrate with our new class of candidates at the Double Eagle Gala. This great event will feature our new class, an amazing banquet, music and dancing.  It has become the premier event of our Scottish Rite year.
