Spring Reunion Notes:

Practices are now being held for the various degrees for the Spring Reunion. It would be very nice to have a large class to honor Illustrious Pete Paschal 33 degree PGM from Newton. Reunion dates are fast approaching (March 28/29 and April 11/12) but there is still time. Cost for a new candidate is $300.

Following the 18th degree on March 29, the SR members will have a chance to socialize and get to know our new members. On the final day (April 12) you and your lady are invited to join us for a social hour and banquet following the 32nd degree. There will be a string quartet providing music during the social hour and dinner. This event will be with the ladies. Cost is $15 per person.

Honors Banquet

Those of you who have been honored with the KCCH or 33rd Degree should reserve Monday August 25 on your calendars. That is the date chosen for the Honors Banquet, which is held in the years that honors are not given. Plans are being made for a very special evening.

The Breakfast Club has worked hard this Spring with various projects around your Temple. They have another work day scheduled for March 22. There is still a lot to do so if you can join them to help please plan to do so. If you can’t join them be sure to tell them Thank-You for all that they do to help make the Scottish Rite Temple a beautiful place to be.

As most of you know the Knights of St. Andrew is forming a Chapter in the Des Moines Valley. This event is for 32nd degree Masons only. There have been some preliminary meetings and there will be another one on March 22 at 10:00 AM. This is going to be a great group to belong to and to participate in and best of all by joining now you will get to be a Charter Member with the extra prestige that entails. You will also have a say in the way the group is organized and electing officers and choosing regalia by attending the March 22 meeting. For more information contact Jeremy N. Davis, jeremyndavis@gmail.com.

Wanted

The Scottish Rite is looking for a washer and dryer for use at the building. They do not need to be new. We spend a lot of time and some money with simple laundry. It would be nice to install units here to save the extra effort. Please call the office if you have one you would like to donate.
