Scottish Rite Express

Bring a Friend Night
Spring Reunion Kickoff March 22, 2012
The 2012 Spring Reunion is fast approaching, to start things off right we will be having our annual reunion kickoff. Do you have a friend who you think would be a good Mason?  Do you know a Mason who would enjoy membership in Scottish Rite?  Our Spring Reunion Kick-off is designed just for them. It is a chance for you to introduce someone to Masonry and the Scottish Rite. It will be held on Thursday, March 22 beginning with social hour at 6pm followed by a steak dinner and the program on Freemasonry.  Now is the perfect time to approach someone who has been considering joining but hasn't for one reason or another.

Dress for the event is business casual but we encourage you to wear a Masonic shirt or pin if you have one. This event is FREE for PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS for Blue Lodge or Scottish Rite with a reservation. Cost is $10 for Scottish Rite Masons. This event is for men only.

Please make your reservation by calling the SR office (515-288-8927) or via email rsvp@dmscottishrite.org.
Join Us at Bistro 519
Candlelight, music, fine food and drink is what you can expect at the first ever Bistro 519. A new Master of Kadosh means a new menu and a new twist on our old favorite Constro Bistro. Bro. Clearman has been working with our head chef, Dick Hudnall to come up with an exciting menu for Bistro 519. There will be a variety of pastas, sauces and styles as well as wines, breads, appetizers and dessert.

This special event will be held on March 15 and it is your chance to invite your lady to a special night at Scottish Rite, where she is the guest of honor. Your non-Masonic friends and family are also invited to join in the fun and fellowship.

The cost is $14 per person please make a reservation by calling the SR office at 515-288-8927 or via email rsvp@dmscottishrite.org by Monday, March 12, 2012.
University of Freemason Program
Join us March 28th at 7pm for the University of Free Masonry. The program will feature the early history of the Des Moines Consistory as an organization and those members who built our beautiful Scottish Rite Building. Names like Sherman, Meredith, Nollen, and Koch that are well known in Des Moines had a major impact on Scottish Rite as well. Learn about some of the men whose pictures hang in our 2nd floor hallway and Albert Pike room. Program begins at 7:00 pm with dessert following. This event is open to all.
