Meet the Master of Kadosh!

The Des Moines Consistory installed Steven F. Jacobsen, 32°KCCH as Master of Kadosh on December 11, 2013. Steve was born in New Ulm, MN and his family moved to Oskaloosa, Iowa when he was six months old.  After graduating from Sac Community High School in Sac City, Iowa, Steve continued his education and graduated from Northwest Missouri State University. He has spent the majority of his career in the insurance industry specializing in group insurance and key person insurance. Steve has earned his CLU as well as ChFC.

Steve was raised to the Degree of a Master Mason in Acanthus Lodge #632 in 2000. He joined the Scottish Rite in 2001. He is a member of the Des Moines York Rite, Za-Ga-Zig Shrine, the Royal Order of Scotland, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

Steve is married and has four children: Katie, Tyler, Brady, and John. His wife Jean is a Registered Nurse. Their oldest daughter, Katie, has three children with one on the way. Steve and Jean's oldest son, Tyler, has one son and also has another child on the way!

Freemasonry runs in both Steve and Jean's family. Steve can count Masons back three to four generations on his side, while his wife Jean can trace Masonic relatives all the way back to England! Their sons, Tyler, Brady, and John, were all raised at Acanthus Lodge and two are members of the Des Moines Scottish Rite.

Steve’s vision for the Des Moines Consistory is to continue the strong work of his predecessors. He is especially proud and thankful for all of the members of the Des Moines Valley who have worked towards the performance of all twenty-nine Scottish Rite degrees this year. Steve says "It's my honor and privilege to lead the Des Moines Scottish Rite as Master of Kadosh this year. I look forward to an exciting year of education, growth, and fun!"

Congratulations to the Des Moines Consistory Master of Kadosh, Steven F. Jacobsen, 32°KCCH! (MM)
