We are quickly approaching a major accomplishment for the Des Moines Valley.  This weekend the members of the Des Moines Scottish Rite, along with our families, friends, and 13 great candidates will celebrate performing all 29 Scottish Rite degrees and honor two outstanding Scottish Rite Masons, Charles W. Iles 32° KCCH and Bobby E. Rice 32° KCCH.  This historic event is the result of many hours and years of hard work and commitment to Scottish Rite Freemasonry.  It certainly proves that Freemasonry is Brotherhood.   We will begin on Friday night with dinner at 5:00 pm in the Tapestry Room.  Our kitchen krew will be hard at work preparing Minute Steaks with mushroom gravy, mashed potatoes and apple crisp.  Cost is $10. After dinner we will continue our journey through the Council of Kadosh degrees, the 23rd to the 26th.  These degrees are the philosophical degrees of the Kadosh degrees where the philosophy of Judaism, Islam and Christianity are introduced.  COUNCIL of KADOSH DEGREES 6:00 pm           23rd Degree  Degree Master: William J. Clearman, 33° 3:00 pm           32nd Degree - 1st Section 3:55 pm           32nd Degree - 2nd Section Degree Master: James Spoerl, 33°   Double Eagle Gala Saturday November 1, 2014 The evening will conclude with our signature event, the Double Eagle Gala.  We will begin at 6:00 pm with social hour consisting of libations and passed hors de oeuvres of bruchetta pomodoro and stuffed mushrooms.     For dinner, our Master of Kadosh has chosen an option of Beef Tenderloin or Tilapia with Lemon Cream Sauce.  A vegetarian meal, Grilled Portobello Mushroom on a Polenta cake, is available. For our program we will welcome our new Scottish Rite Masons from the summer class in honor of Bobby E. Rice, 32° KCCH and our fall class in honor of Charles W. Iles, 32° KCCH.     Our special guest for the evening will be Gary L.
