The Spring Reunion in honor of Marvin A. Pomerantz is coming up soon. Are you ready?
We will begin on Friday night at 5:00 pm with a grilled America's cut pork chop prepared by our own Scottish Rite chefs, the chop, salad, baked potato and dessert for a cost of just $10. Please let us know if you are coming so we can plan for you.RSVP@dmscottishrite.org or call 515-288-8927.
At 6:00 pm we will receive the Pomerantz class and a 6:10 pm, begin the Scottish Rite journey with the 4th degree, Secret Master. The first weekend of the reunion will consist of the 4th to the 18th degrees. If you haven't seen the degree work recently, I encourage you to stop in and check out a degree or two. The lessons are timeless.
The 2nd weekend will be April 15th/16th and will consist of degrees 19 - 32. One exciting addition to the 2nd weekend will be the performance of the 23rd degree, Chief of the Tabernacle. This will be the first time the Des Moines Valley has done this degree. Come check it out.
After the degree work concludes, we will celebrate with our new Masters of the Royal Secret at the "Paint it Red" party on April 16th. This party will be a great event for you and your lady to attend. We are featuring a Grilled Filet for dinner, White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake for dessert, and outstanding dance music by "Select Entertainment". Cost is $35 per person, please RSVP by April 8th.

SHEPHEARD'S TAVERN SOCIETY March 30, 2011
The Shepheard's Tavern society is a chance for Scottish Rite Masons and their friends to enjoy the company and fellowship of Masonry. The meetings are held throughout the Scottish Rite year. Our next gathering is March 30th from 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm. The purpose is two-fold, to socialize and to introduce prospective members to Freemasonry. We are pleased to invite you to join us as your schedule allows. No dues, no certificates, just a chance to meet and socialize.
SPRING FLING PARTY - "PAINT IT RED"
April 16, 2011
Our Spring party/Gala will be held on April 16 following the reunion in honor of Marvin A. Pomerantz, 33°. It is called the "Paint It Red" party. Our Grand Banquet room will be dressed entirely in red. I saw this done for a party last year and it looked awesome! Red dresses for the ladies, red jackets, shirts or ties for the men would be in style for the party. While there will be some members in tuxedo from performing in the 32nd degree, it is not designed as a black tie affire, just a great Spring party for you and your lady to attend. Invites will drop next week with pricing and menu. Please mark you calendars now.
