Two Announcements

Parking Tonight

If you are attending the Friends Night, this evening, the parking lot north of the building will be available for Scottish Rite members. There will be a gentleman, his name is Mark, at the entrance to the parking lot. He will ask for your Scottish Rite dues card, this not because we want to see your card but to ward off the wrestling fans who would like to park in “our” lot. Please call Shane at 515-865-4727 if you have questions or concerns.

Knights of St. Andrew

Have you heard the latest news? The Des Moines Scottish Rite is forming a Knights of St. Andrew organization.

The Knights of St. Andrew (KSA) is an organization exclusively for 32° SR Masons (i.e.: Black Hats ONLY!) with the mission of advancing the mission of the Scottish Rite. SR Valleys across the United States have formed their own KSA organizations and have had a great deal of success. This is a great opportunity for our members to learn more about the Scottish Rite and as well as a way to network and develop an organization focused on making SR more successful!

If you are a 32° SR Mason and are interested in learning more about the Knights of St. Andrew and how you can become a founding member, please plan to attend an organizational meeting to be held at the Des Moines Scottish Rite Consistory on February 18th at 7 p.m. The organizing committee has developed a number of ideas and options for the Valley to pursue as the KSA organization becomes a reality. If you have any questions or are unable to attend this meeting but would like to still be involved with KSA, please contact Brother Jeremy Davis at (515) 291-7016 or via e-mail at jeremyndavis@gmail.com. I will look forward to seeing you on February 18th!
