Announcing the passing of
Brother William O. Cook, 32°
Brethren,
It is with a heavy heart that I write to you to inform you of the passing of William O. Cook, 32°.
William O. Cook, 63, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2017, with his family by his side. Family will receive friends at Iles Grandview Park Chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 30th with a 7 p.m. Masonic Service with an additional service to follow.
Bill was born September 23, 1953 in Des Moines to William and Shirley (Dobberthein) Cook. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local Union 234 where he worked as a heavy equipment operator. After retirement he worked for Hedberg and Son.
He was a member of Daylight Masonic Lodge No. 660, Za Ga Zig Shrine and the Shrine Ambassadors Unit.
Bill was an avid Chicago Bears fan and also enjoyed NASCAR, cruising Saylorville Lake on his pontoon boat and spending time with friends and family.
Bill received his Master of the Royal Secret (32°) on June 25, 2016.
